Terms of Service
The agreement between you and GreyArm, LLC for accounts, the web console, websites and services — including arbitration and liability limits.
Key points
- 01These Terms are a binding contract between you and GreyArm, LLC. Using any GreyArm website, app or service means you accept them.
- 02GreyArm detects known and detectable AI activity. It does not guarantee it will find or stop every AI agent — see the Detection & Protection Disclaimer.
- 03You install and run GreyArm at your own risk. Our liability is limited, and the software is provided “as is”.
- 04Only monitor devices and networks you own or are authorized to monitor.
- 05Disputes are resolved by individual binding arbitration, not class actions or jury trials — unless you opt out within 30 days.
This summary is for convenience. The full text below is what governs.
01Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites at greyarm.com and its subdomains, the GreyArm web console, the GreyArm desktop sensor, the GreyArm mobile applications, our APIs, and any related software, content and services (together, the “Services”), all provided by GreyArm, LLC (“GreyArm”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
By creating an account, clicking to accept, installing any GreyArm software, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to the documents they incorporate: the Detection & Protection Disclaimer, the End User License Agreement, the Subscription & Billing Terms and the Acceptable Use Policy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
Section Dispute resolution contains a binding arbitration agreement and a class-action and jury-trial waiver. It affects how disputes between you and GreyArm are resolved. You may opt out within 30 days as described there.
If you use the Services on behalf of an organization or another person, you represent that you have authority to bind them, and “you” includes them.
02Eligibility and household use
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if higher, to create an account or purchase a subscription. The Services are not directed to children. A parent or legal guardian may install GreyArm on devices used by their minor children and remains responsible for that use, for the children’s devices, and for complying with these Terms on their behalf.
You may not use the Services if you are barred from doing so under the laws of the United States or any other applicable jurisdiction, or if we have previously terminated your account for violating these Terms.
03Your account
You agree to provide accurate information, keep it current, and keep your sign-in credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account and on devices you link to it, including by household members or others you allow to use them. Tell us promptly at support@greyarm.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
Devices you link to your account send information to our servers as described in the Privacy Policy. You can unlink a device or delete your account at any time; see Account & Data Deletion.
04The Services
GreyArm helps you see AI agents, assistants, models and services running on or communicating from devices and networks you control, and offers tools to review and act on what it finds. Some features run only on your devices; others require an account and a connection to our servers.
We continually change and improve the Services. We may add, modify or remove features, change detection rules and catalogs, and impose limits on use. If a change materially reduces a paid feature you rely on during a paid term, you may cancel and request a prorated refund of the unused portion of that term.
Features labeled beta, preview, early access or similar are provided for evaluation, may be unreliable, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.
05Detection limits
You acknowledge that GreyArm identifies AI activity that is known to us or detectable with the signals available to it, that new and disguised AI software appears constantly, and that GreyArm will not detect, identify or stop all AI activity. Findings, scores and alerts are automated estimates. Containment and blocking are best-effort and may have side effects.
The Detection & Protection Disclaimer is part of these Terms and explains these limits in detail.
06Software you install
Your use of the desktop sensor and mobile apps is governed by the End User License Agreement. The desktop sensor inspects running programs and network activity and, at your direction, can change system and network settings. You install and run GreyArm software at your own risk, and you are responsible for maintaining backups and for any changes made to your systems at your direction.
07Plans, trials and payment
Some Services require a paid subscription. Free trials, automatic renewal, cancellation, refunds, taxes and price changes are governed by the Subscription & Billing Terms. Subscriptions are purchased on our website or web console and processed by Stripe; our mobile apps do not sell subscriptions.
08Acceptable use
You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, you may use GreyArm only on devices and networks that you own or are legally authorized to monitor, and you must not use it to covertly surveil another person, to violate anyone’s privacy, or in breach of any law.
You must not reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, probe for vulnerabilities outside our Vulnerability Disclosure Policy, scrape, resell, or create a competing product from the Services or our detection catalog.
09Your data
As between you and us, you retain your rights in the information your devices send to the Services and that you submit (“Your Data”). You grant GreyArm a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit and display Your Data to provide, secure, support and improve the Services, as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may create and use aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you or any device or household — for example, to learn which AI software is becoming common so we can improve detection. We do not sell personal information.
You represent that you have all rights and permissions needed for us to process Your Data, including any information about other people who use the devices and networks you monitor.
10Feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions or reports, we may use them without restriction or compensation to you.
11Our intellectual property
The Services, including software, detection catalogs, rules, designs, text, graphics and the GreyArm name and logo, are owned by GreyArm, LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms and the EULA, no rights are granted to you.
Names and trademarks of third-party AI products that appear in the Services are used only to identify them and belong to their owners. Their appearance does not imply endorsement or affiliation. See our Copyright & Trademark Policy.
12Third-party services and app stores
The Services rely on and link to services we do not control — for example, Stripe for payments, Apple and Google for app distribution and notifications, and email providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
If you obtained a GreyArm app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, the store’s terms also apply, and the additional terms in the EULA govern as between you, us and the store operator.
13Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice where reasonable, if you breach these Terms, if your use creates risk or legal exposure for us or others, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Services. If we discontinue a paid Service for reasons other than your breach, we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid term.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Your Data licenses needed to complete deletion, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and dispute resolution — survive.
14Disclaimer of warranties
15Limitation of liability
These limitations are an essential basis of the bargain between you and us and apply even if a limited remedy fails of its essential purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law, and nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
16Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify and hold harmless GreyArm, LLC and its members, managers, officers, employees and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Services, Your Data, your monitoring of any device, network or person, your violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
17Dispute resolution and arbitration
Informal resolution first
Before starting any formal proceeding, you and we each agree to try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 60 days after written notice. Send your notice to support@greyarm.com with your name, account email, a description of the dispute and the relief you want.
Binding individual arbitration
If the dispute is not resolved informally, you and GreyArm, LLC agree that any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this agreement to arbitrate. The arbitrator, not a court, decides questions of arbitrability, except that a court decides questions about the class-action waiver and the mass-arbitration provisions below. Arbitration will take place in the county where you live or by video conference, unless both parties agree otherwise. Fees are allocated under the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules.
Exceptions
Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies, and either party may seek injunctive relief in court for infringement or misuse of intellectual property.
Mass arbitration
If 25 or more similar demands are filed against us by or with the help of the same law firm or coordinated group, they will be administered in batches of up to 50 under the AAA’s mass-arbitration procedures, and the statute of limitations is tolled for claims awaiting their batch.
30-day opt-out
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@greyarm.com within 30 days after you first accept these Terms, with the subject line “Arbitration opt-out” and your name and account email. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
If arbitration does not apply
If you opt out or this arbitration agreement is found unenforceable, disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the county of GreyArm, LLC’s principal place of business, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. If the class-action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim must be severed and decided in court, not in arbitration.
18Governing law
These Terms are governed by the Federal Arbitration Act and, otherwise, by the laws of the state in which GreyArm, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer living in a country that gives you the benefit of mandatory consumer-protection laws, nothing in these Terms takes those rights away.
19Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify you by email, in the product, or on our website at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless the change is required by law or addresses a security issue. Continuing to use the Services after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Services and cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.
20General
Entire agreement. These Terms and the documents they incorporate are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services and supersede prior agreements. Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Force majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Export. You will comply with U.S. export-control and sanctions laws. Electronic notices. You consent to receive notices electronically; notices to us must be sent to support@greyarm.com.
