Account & Data Deletion
How to delete your GreyArm account and data from any app or by email, and what happens to each kind of data.
Key points
- 01Delete your account any time from the mobile app, the web console, or by emailing us.
- 02Deletion is immediate and permanent: your subscription is cancelled, your devices are unlinked, and your device data is erased from our servers.
- 03Some records — like invoices — are kept only where the law requires.
- 04Data on your own computer is removed by clearing it in the desktop app or uninstalling.
This summary is for convenience. The full text below is what governs.
01How to delete your account
In the mobile app (iPhone, iPad, Android)
Open Account, scroll to Delete account, and confirm.
In the web console
Sign in, open Account, go to Danger zone, choose Delete account, and confirm.
By email
If you can’t sign in, email support@greyarm.com from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my account”. We will verify the request and complete it within 30 days, usually much sooner.
Deletion cannot be undone. Deleting your account cancels any paid subscription immediately, without a refund for the remaining period unless the refund terms provide one.
02What is deleted
- Account — your name, email and profile are deleted or irreversibly anonymized; sessions, linked sign-in methods and push-notification tokens are deleted.
- Devices — every linked device is revoked and stops syncing.
- Device data — detected agents, alerts, network devices, DNS shield records and device snapshots stored on our servers are deleted.
- Subscription — cancelled in Stripe immediately.
03What we keep, and why
- Billing records such as invoices and payment history, held mainly by Stripe, for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Security and audit logs for a limited period, to protect the Services and investigate abuse.
- Backups, until they are overwritten in our normal backup cycle.
- Aggregated or de-identified statistics that cannot identify you.
- Records we must keep to comply with law or resolve disputes.
04Deleting some data without closing your account
- Unlink a device in the web console under Devices. It stops syncing; its data ages out with your plan’s history window, or ask us to delete it immediately.
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email.
- Turn off network discovery, the DNS shield or notifications in the apps.
- Request a copy of your data, or deletion of specific data, by emailing support@greyarm.com.
05Data on your computer
The desktop sensor keeps its own records on your computer. Clear them in the app’s settings, or uninstall the app and delete its application-data folder. Uninstalling does not remove containment changes, so first open Settings → Containment in the desktop app and choose Remove all; the EULA also explains how to remove them manually.
